Grassroots Pulping Centers
Sisiyi Coffee Limited establishes and supports grassroots pulping centers within farming communities to bring essential coffee processing services closer to smallholder farmers. These centers are strategically set up to reduce the time between harvesting and processing, ensuring that freshly picked coffee cherries are handled promptly. By minimizing delays and post-harvest losses, farmers are able to preserve the quality and integrity of their coffee, which is critical for achieving premium grades.
In addition to infrastructure support, we provide technical training and operational guidance to ensure these centers run efficiently and consistently meet quality standards. Through proper pulping, washing, and initial handling at the community level, farmers are empowered to produce coffee that meets high cupping standards and attracts better prices in the market. This localized approach not only improves quality but also strengthens farmer collaboration and long-term sustainability.
